Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Clerk with a background in accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing dispatch operations while also assisting with various accounting tasks. This candidate should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.
Responsibilities:
♦ Efficiently manage and prioritize dispatch requests to ensure timely deliveries.
♦ Coordinate with drivers and other team members to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
♦ Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
♦ Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices and expense reports.
♦ Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
♦ Generate reports on dispatch activities and financial transactions for management review.
♦ Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to address inquiries and provide exceptional service.
♦ Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Dispatch Clerk or similar role.
Background in accounting or finance is essential.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using dispatch software and accounting tools.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
