What you’ll be doing
Role purpose
Launch educational lending in the Tanzanian market through a partnership with a local microfinance bank. Lead a small field team conducting door-to-door, event-based, and other marketing to private schools to facilitate loan applications and lending across the credit life-cycle.
Oversee lead generation and qualification, needs assessments, school visits, client creation, document collection, credit applications, and due diligence. Drive sustainable business growth in the assigned area through sales, marketing, and operational strategies while safeguarding portfolio quality and institutional standards. Support strong loan performance through credit oversight, delinquency management, and adherence to lending policies and procedures. Supervise field-team sales execution.

What we’re looking for
- Market intelligence, particularly in microfinance, education finance, and Tanzania's private school sector
- Market entry skills and knowledge of the education and/or microfinance sector
- Decision-making, management, risk management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Report writing, credit assessment, credit scoring, and credit-limit setting
- Human resource management and familiarity with education and microfinance industry rules and regulations
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, customer care, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Swahili fluency is a plus, but not required
